Dipl. Civil Engineer of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with Master of Science in Strategic Project Management (European) from the Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh, with Master Universitario di Primo livello in Strategic Project Management from the Politecnico di Milano and with Master of Science in Business Administration from the Umea University. Doctor of Philosophy candidate in Civil Engineering of University of Birmingham.

He was accepted and graduated from the Civil Engineering Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Apart from his main studies, he participated in Erasmus student exchange program and he attend the postgraduate programme M.Sc. in Civil Engineering Structures at the City University London, as Diploma is equivalent with a Master’s degree. Additionally, he attended courses at the Delft University of Technology and at the Czech Technical University of Prague, through the ATHENS Programme. Afterwards, he did postgraduate studies in Strategic Project Management with the support of the Erasmus Mundus programme of the European Union; Initially at the Heriot - Watt University Edinburgh, later at the Politecnico di Milano and eventually at the Umeå University. Finally, he did doctoral studies in Civil Engineering at the University of Birmingham. One third of his doctorate was held at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Research and working experience
As a diploma student,  he was working at the IAESTE L.C. Thessaloniki. He did his Diploma Thesis at the Archirodon Construction (Overseas) CO. S.A. in Dubai. He had an internship at the biggest construction company in the Gulf Area and among the ten biggest construction companies in world, Consolidated Contractors Company in Sultanate of Oman. Previously, he had an internship at the Al-Baath University in Syria. In the framework of his diploma studies, he completed a practical training at the Directorate of Public Works of Central Macedonia. In the framework of his master studies, he completed an Industry Research Project at the Information Service and Information Systems Directorate of Scottish Government. During his doctoral studies, he was working in British research programs.

From January 2009 until August 2010, he worked as a research assistant at the School of Civil Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. From June 2015 until June 2018, he worked as teaching associate at the School of Civil Engineering of the University of Birmingham.

He has publications in international journals and conferences on Project Management and Infrastructure Management. He is certified Strategic Project Leader from the Strategic Project Leadership Group.

Other activities and education
He attended courses of Russian language and culture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki through the IASON Programme. Apart from his academic studies, he attended courses in Autocad & Autocad 3D Photorealism at Xynis Educational Group in Thessaloniki. Furthermore, he is a Certified Lifeguard with First Aid from the Salvage Service of  Macedonia of Thessaloniki. During his studying years, he worked as a system & network administrator at an internet cafe chain in the area of Thessaloniki. From 2002 to 2006 he worked in summer camps in Halkidiki in various positions (Head Lifeguard, Lifeguard, Head Group Leader, Group Leader). He served his military service, as a Corporal Combat Engineer, in the Hellenic Army.

He speaks fluent Greek & English and basic French.
